The City of Eastern Promise...Hong Kong

Hong Kong literally means "fragrant harbour". It has historically functioned as a hub for trading different types of spices from around the known world. If you have a wish list of cities and regions to visit, then Hong Kong should be near---the very top. Its attractions cater to all age groups.

On our trip, we found a map to be essential for our day to day travelling. That being said, the transport system throughout the place is very efficient.

We didn't have a proper itinerary and was just roaming through whims and wishes but nevertheless, we surely had fun.

Finding places of historical significance and beauty was not at all complicated.

Hong Kong has its own equivalent of Hollywood's walk of fame. Here's a statue of Jet Li, at an angle.

The people speak good English so communication isn't a problem. Tap a stranger for an answer, go walking in their lovely parks and get lost at their night markets while trying their tasty cuisine.

It was indeed a wonderful experience.
